Born in Tokyo, Japan; Tomoo Gokita has a great way of interpreting subjects as monochromatic faceless figures. Currently showing at the ATM Gallery In New York (March 25 - May 1, 2010).

ALPHABET (DIS)ORDER

Alphabet (Dis)order is a monochromatic series created using watercolor, cut-out photocopies of vintage photographs, mixed together with letters. The font used was something I designed several years ago called Sharp—All of which was put together on thick drawing card. Individual cards were then photocopied onto old paper.

Bought this book; LANGEWEILE WAR MEIN MOTOR which features 48 black and white and 16 colored linocuts by Artist Christoph Feist—I haven't been able to stop staring at it since.
